Joe Rice
(President/Owner/Founder)

Since 2003, when Joe founded Innovative Power Solutions, he has been at the helm of its success. He went on to attain his Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1988. With over 25 years of experience in various sectors of the energy and lighting industry, Joe holds a long list of credentials. He possesses a Master Electrician license in 5 states, as well as CEM, CLEP, CLMC, and LC certifications. Joe attributes his success to his family, his employees and to the work ethic which was instilled in him at an early age.


Dean Wallace
(VP Electrical Business Development / General Superintendent)

Dean brings 30+ years of managing and overseeing field operations in the electrical industry. In 1988, he was hired, as a third year electrical apprentice, by Little Rock Electric. From there, he found his way to the role of Vice President / General Superintendent. In 2012, Dean parted ways with LRE and joined the IPS team. Dean is a highly recognized electrical superintendent among electrical and general contractors in the Central Arkansas sector. Dean’s duties include management of all field personnel, project safety plan, conducting and attending weekly progress meetings, establishing and maintaining project schedules, among various other daily duties. Dean is also responsible for regular communication with contractors, subcontractors, project superintendents, city officials, designers and engineers. Dean has performed work across the country and holds a Master Electrician license in 25 states.


Gene Terry
(Vice President of Energy Services)

After 30 years in the business, Gene retired from architecture and began his second career at Innovative Power Solutions in 2006. His area of focus is energy conservation through lighting design. His innate attention to detail is invaluable with regard to energy audits, project development, scheduling and management. He has managed projects of various sizes and complexities from the audit phase through proposal analysis and preparation to project installation. Energy conservation with a desirable payback is the goal for a successful project.


Lynn Russell

Lynn Russell
(VP of Sales & Service)

Lynn has worked in the electrical industry since 1981. He started out in the electrical distribution business where he gained genuine appreciation for the multifaceted lighting industry from electrical switchgear to motor control systems. He joined Innovative Power Solutions as the Vice President of Sales, Service, and Specialty Projects in 2013. With over 35 years of experience in generating electrical work, Lynn’s primary responsibilities include management of the service department, sales, and marketing. Lynn is heavily involved in turn key design and design build projects, business development, estimating, and project management efforts. His wide range of experience, technical expertise, and structured management is instrumental to the electrical and service departments as it ensures a quality customer experience.


Steve Allison

Steve started out as an electrician’s apprentice at Bradshaw Electric in 1972. He then progressed from a journeyman electrician to a managerial position due to his responsibility, work ethic, and attention to detail. Steve quickly became a skilled estimator and has worked with many of the top electrical companies in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Steve is now a valued member of Innovative Power Solutions. He works as a highly qualified Project Manager and Estimator, ensuring his work is organized, efficient, and completed with diligence.


Rick Price

Rick Price

Rick Price began his career in the electrical contracting industry in 1984. He started in the field and quickly moved to estimating and project management due to his responsibility and technical expertise. He eventually became a part of upper management as he worked closely and was heavily involved with many different departments in of one of the largest electrical contracting companies in central Arkansas. Rick moved on to become part of a low voltage and a lighting retrofit startup, and was able to expand his knowledge in all aspects of the industry. After 2003, Rick spent the next ten years primarily as a construction consultant, working on estimates and negotiations for owners across the country ranging up to $500 million in total project value. In 2014 Rick began working with Innovative Power Solutions as an estimator and project manager. While sticking to a strict bid schedule, he also supervises large scale projects and hold his crew to a high standard.


Robert Corey Hughes

Robert Corey Hughes is the service department manager at Innovative Power Solutions. Corey has over 25 years of multi-faceted experience in the electrical industry. He started working as an electrician and crew supervisor, and quickly advanced to sales, service, and department management positions. He has also owned and operated his own residential electrical business for 11 years. Corey has been an integral part of many types of projects ranging from routine service calls to retrofits and new construction projects. His responsibilities at Innovative Power Solutions include supervision of the service technicians, estimating projects, purchasing material, and coordinating schedules. Corey maintains excellent customer relations through diligent communication. His wide range of experience and structured management style is instrumental to the service department as it ensures a quality customer experience.


Beau Estes

Beau Estes has been doing electrical work since 2010 and moved to Innovative Power Solutions in 2012. He started as a service technician and is now a Project Manager for Innovative Power Solution’s Energy & Retrofit Department.
